I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Tinnitus Talk is the best forum on the internet for the latest updates in Tinnitus research and news.

What makes this forum good? In short, it has a couple of advantages:

  • Site design: some of the older tinnitus forums are based off of another platform, and as such, there’s no overarching design to the actual forum site. Other tinnitus forums have poor, un-intuitive nagivation interfaces that simply don’t work well. They’re ugly to look at, and function poorly.
  • The team behind it: the Tinnitus Talk team is knowledgable, capable, and cares about people suffering from tinnitus. They lack any commercial links or interests, and are an independent group of people that I trust. They’re not in this to make money, and don’t sell a product.
  • The level of knowledge on the site: the level of technical and scientific knowledge on this site exceeds, by far, that of anything I’ve seen anywhere else on the site. You have people who have a good grasp of critically evaluating the scientific literature. Equally importantly, you have people who have technical skills and have personally coded sound therapy programs that they’ve provided to people for free.
  • The comprehensiveness of the site: they also include topics that are often neglected on-line or have minimal resources available – such as hyperacusis and pulsatile tinnitus (which, traditionally, is considered “treatable,” but in practice that isn’t always the case).

Check out the site here – they have some free resources that are really good, and I think you’ll be pleased.

Disclosure: at the time of writing, no commercial relationship exists between the forum and our site
